Is it from God? Is it Wrong or right? 3 steps to find out.1. Does it align with God's word?
If it comes from God it will never ever go against His Word. 2. Does it go against God's law of nature? God made law and order, everything from Him will be according to the law of nature... Examples: marriage is between a male and a female... in the winter, it is cold and there is snow...apple trees produces apples, orange trees produce oranges...rabbits produce rabbits, sheep produces sheep...etc... 3. What results does it have in the end? What comes out from it? Is the result good, or bad? Does it bring hurt or harm? Or does it result in joy, and peace? Examples: in Buddhism if every man became monks, there would be no children and after those generations die, there would be no one left on earth...etc. The Words of Your Mouth & The Meditation of Your Heart Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 (NKJ) This verse is saying to let our words and what we constantly think about be acceptable to God. The meditation of our heart is the things we think about all the time, not just once, but constantly, and what we put our emotions, our heart into. We should not watch bad things, listen to bad things, and read bad things. And that cuts off a lot of the media today, a lot of the music, the movies, shows, and books. It can seem really unfair and we really don’t want to do the right thing. Our flesh, our soul wants to watch, read; listen to all those bad things, because it gives us temporary pleasure and happiness. But When we keep watching bad things, not just once or twice but a lot, it adds up. It affects you. Like when you go to the butcher and they start slice one thin piece of meat from a big chunk of meat; to our human eye, it seems like the meat is untouched and the difference of the size is unnoticeable. And each and every time the big piece of meat is cut, the difference is still not noticeable. But if you were to leave the shop and come back a couple hours or a day later, you would see that the once big chunk of meat is now a very small piece. Those slices of meat added up to be a very large amount resulting in a very small piece of meat from what was a huge chunk. The things you watch, the things you listen to, and the things you read will add up and eventually take part of a huge part in your life. It will start to consume you, you will start thinking about it constantly and eventually start talking about it. It will consume you, it affects you, even if you cannot see it right away. What is the standard for what is pleasing and what is acceptable with God? “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things arelovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8 Meditate (To think about often/constantly) on things that are true…noble…just…pure…lovely…of good report…virtue…praiseworthy… If we were to follow just one of them, like pure things… most of the media would be out the door. Like action/romance, romance, drama and other movies, books, and music that have sexual innuendo and context, any sexually explicit scenes, or wrong sexual story plots and lines. Think about things that are lovely…so no horror movies, or books, no screaming, rage filled music…all those out the door. Think about things that are of good report….gossip out the door, most news networks…all out the door. What you listen to, what you watch, and what you read will seep into your thoughts and eventually come out of your mouth. When you memorize things, you write them over and over, read them over and over, and it eventually will get stuck into your brain. Your words are like a double edged sword. It can kill and hurt people. And what you read, watch, and listen will cause you to start to think about it. And what you think about constantly, what you meditate on, it will come out of your mouth. So if you watch, listen, and read bad things, bad things will come out of your mouth. But if you watch, listen, read good things, we will start to say good things. But that isn’t the end of the verse, it also says in the end, “O Lord, my STRENGTH and my REDEEMER.” Why does it have “O Lord my strength and redeemer”? Because God knows that it is not always easy. But God is our STRENGTH, He will help you. God knows that we sometimes fall and will say wrong things, think about wrong things, but God is our REDEEMER! Just because we fall does not mean it is the end of us. If we get up and turn back into doing right. God is faithful to redeem us! If God is a good God then why can’t we do this or that, why are there so many restrictions? Doesn’t God want us to enjoy ourselves? Yes, God is good, yes, God want us to have joy and happiness in our lives; that is exactly why there are standards and restrictions. In order to go higher with God, we need to watch what we put in our hearts and mind, and soul. “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful, all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify” - 1 Corinthians 10:23 What is means is, that, just because something is correct, or not wrong, doesn’t mean it will help you or uplift you and others up. Just because something is not exactly wrong and is seemingly ok doesn’t mean you should read it, watch it, listen to it, or have to say it. Say what is right, watch what is right, listen to what is right, but also lift up other people’s spirit and yours too. Don’t bring people down, or yourself by doing things that will not uplift your spirit and help you and others grow in God. God Is Good All The Time! "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." -James 1:17 (NIV)
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? " -Romans 8:32 (NKJ) God is a good God. When God created the world he said it was good. Everything God made was and is good. Every good thing comes from God and when you believe God is a good God, good things will come to you.The sky you see, the rainbows, the clouds, the sky, the mountains, rivers, oceans, birds, flowers; it is all good, and it was all made by God. Why does good things come to those who believe God is good? Cause in the Bible it says "As you believe, those things you believe, it will happen to you." There were ten lepors that Jesus healed, but only one gave thanks to God. And that man was saved. Saved meaning sozo, sozo meaning Life. He was given life. Meaning saved spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It is easy to forget what God did for you. But when you know that God is the One who gives you all good things; and you thank Him, good things will come to you. If we believe God is a good God, good things will come to us. Pain does not come from God. Sickness does not come from God Poverty does not come from God. Fear does not come from God. Earthquakes, tragedy, floods, curse, cancer, tornadoes, does not come from God. Bullies does not come from God, Destruction does not from God. Some people do not understand this, they say that God put them there to train them and so they can become better, and that it is a time of testing or God put them through it so they could become stronger in their faith, learn to trust God, but it does not come from God but the devil, for God is a good God and does not ever harm us. Healing is from God. Peace is from God. Forgiveness is from God. Prosperity is from God. Love is from God. Good Friends are from God. God gives you the best, only good things, never bad things Joseph in the bible, he was sold in slavery and thrown in jail for a crime he did not commit, God did not do that to him, but God will use the bad and turn to good. Doesn't mean though that God is the one who gave it, or caused the bad thing to happen to you in the start. When we complain we are saying God is not good. Israel complained and they wanted to go back to Egypt. So they never got to see the promise land but Joshua and Caleb believed that God was a good God and did not complain and they were the only to who got to go into the promise land in that generation. Paul and Silas healed people and delivered people the people got mad and threw them in jail. But instead of complaining, and saying how they healed people and cast out demons and did what God wanted them to do, and this is what they get, they instead in the middle of the night sang praises to God. And because of that the jail trembled and the jail doors were broken and they saved the jail guard and his whole family. 1) God is good God. God never does anything bad to you 2) The devil is bad, and he is the one who harms you 3) If you believe God is good, good things will come to you. Reaching Higher...Growing strongerThere are two kinds of faith
One is for everyone- basic faithThe other is God faith Faith comes from the word of God Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God. John 1:17 We are not who people say we are but who God says we are Without faith you can not please God.We need faith hope and loveThat is why we need faith How does faith work.Like the sower who sows seedsSeed is the promise of God.Every promise of God already exist in the spiritual realm. Speaking out the promise of God is sowing it. Our hearts are the soil. Meditate Like healing: God will supply Like providence: God shall supply all my needs. Mark 4: Habakkuk 2:4 Romans 1:17 When we come to church we need to prepare our hearts. Soften our hearts be the 4th type of soilHarvest is joy prosperity breakthrough wisdom healing. To have great faith we need to prepare our hearts, we need to come to church with a goal of learning and if we do we can get more faith then a person who just come to come from a good time. When we have God's word we have to meditate on it then speak it out.1 peter 2:24Isaiah 53:4 How do we know we are children if God?Because it is in the bible. You have to believe, some people believe and some don't, why? Cause the ones who believe have good soil and they grab on to those promises just like healing. Example on healing. Luke10:19 Hebrews11:6 Buying things online is like healing and faith Mak11:23 Mark9:23 Supernatural God FaithNew creation
2 Corinthians 5:17 Eagle story We are eagles, children of eagles born by the Holy Spirit in you. Ability to do the impossible thing John 1:12 Old creation dominated by nature sickness disease New creation is you walk like Jesus Peter before was only an ordinary man but when Jesus called them they could heal the sick do miracles and stuff God wants you to believe the things you can't believe. We are the children of God, God want us to live by faith meaning walking in the spiritual realm. In His kingdom. There are two kinds of faith One is for everyone- basic faith The other is God faith Faith comes from the word of God Faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of God. John 1:17 We are not who people say we are but God says we are Without faith you ca not please God. We need faith hope and love That is why we need faith How does faith work. You have to believe, some people believe and some don't, why? Cause the ones who believe have good soil and they grab on to those promises just like healing. Example on healing. Luke10:19 Hebrews11:6 PRAYER Prayer is an important part of each and every Christian's life.
Prayer is talking and communicating with God. We need prayer like we need the air to live. Prayer and reading the Bible is our spiritual food, like we need food and water for our physical bodies. Prayer is not just asking God for things, or for help. It is having a conversation with God. Prayer is proclaiming the word of God, coming to Him with or worries and problems, praising His name... When we need help, we pray. When need help to get out of tempations, or sin, we pray. Come to God through prayer. Talk to God, but also take time to listen to what God wants to say to you. When we pray, it becomes easier to hear God. Our spirit gets more sensitive to God's voice. Prayer is vital to us as Christians. As we have learned already, we have a soul, spirit, and body. Our soul a lot of times is controlled by our body, our flesh. And our flesh is weak and most of the time, does not want to pray or worship God. In the Bible we have an example, in Matthew 26:38. This story takes place before Jesus was captured and after the passover. Jesus and His disciples went to the garden of Gethsemane. After arriving to the garden, He took John, James, and Peter with Him to go farther into the garden.... Matthew 26:38 - "The He said to them, 'My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with me.'" (Jesus was telling them to pray.) Matthew 26:40-41 - (This is after Jesus prayed and came back to check on them.) "The He came to the desciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, 'What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.'" Most of the time we do not feel like praying, but we that is because our flesh/body does not want to. But our spirit wants it and needs it. Sometimes we know what we want to pray for about, but we don't know what to say. That is where speaking in tongues comes in. When we speak in tongues, it is through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit prays through us. The Holy Spirit prays in our stead. Speaking in tongues is speaking in a heavenly language. Romans 8:26 - "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who seearches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." (This verse is referring to Speaking in Tongues.) The Holy Spirit knows what our spirit wants to pray for and He will pray for us. But sometimes we have fear, and it keeps us from speaking in tongues. When we have fear we cannot speak in tongues. We have to have faith in order for the Holy Spirit to work through us. Cause God did not give us a spirit of fear but a spirit of sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind." Jesus also intercedes for us. He is sitting at the right hand of Gof the father and is interceding for us. Jesus always advocates for you, He loves you. He never will make you feel guilty. The devil will try to make you feel guilty and shameful, but God would never do that. Because Jesus has already paid the price for us, and forgiven us. Our sins have already been forgiven. God always wants to download more of Himself to us , and give us His revelations, but we have to connect with Him in order to recieve it. We can connect to God through prayer and reading our Bibles. Like when you download songs or stuff into your electric devices, (like an ipod, ipad, mp3 player, etc.), you need to connect you device to your computor, whether it be through wifi or a cable, It is the same with you and God. Jesus & The Divine Exchange... "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV) When Jesus died on the cross, He took away all the sins of the world. But that was not all that He took for us. In this message we will go deeper into what Jesus did for us. We will focus on specifically 8 things. When Jesus died for us He took our: 1) Punishment 2) Sickness and Pain and Disease 3) Sin 4) Death 5) Poverty 6) Shame 7) Rejection 8) Curse Not only did Jesus take those things for us, but He gave us the things that belonged to Him. So in essence He actually traded places with us, and swapped our curse for His blessing. He offers us: 1) Remission of sin 2) Healing and Health 3) Righteousness 4) Life 5) Abundance 6) Glory 7) Acceptance 8) Blessing When we sin, we are separated from God, and we are then under the curse, with the curse brings rejection, poverty, shame, sickness and diseases, and ultimately death. But God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to earth in human form, and He came to die for us, to forgive our sins so we could be with God again. Most people know this part, but what many overlook or don’t understand is that, Jesus did not come to just forgive sins! Jesus’ time on earth was spent healing the sick, bringing healing to broken hearts, casting out demons, raising the dead, giving hope to the hopeless, and bringing joy and life to the people who came to Him. Of course, Jesus came to die for our sins, but He also was beaten and whipped, His flesh getting ripped off Him, the soldiers made a crown of thorns that was smashed into His head, the thorns digging into His head, He was mocked, stripped naked, spit on, kicked and humiliated, and He was rejected by God when He took all the sins of the world.. He went through all that not to just forgive our sins. Jesus, who was perfect in every way, Jesus who walked with God the Father, and did everything according to God’s will; Jesus who was and is God, had every right to all blessings, honour, glory, health, prosperity, and every good thing. But Jesus gave that all up, so that He could take all the curse, pain, suffering, and every bad thing we deserve. Why? Because He loves us! He wanted to be with us, but we sinned and separated ourselves from God, and every good thing, that God wanted to bless us with. So God, who loves us, He came down in human form to redeem us. Jesus took our poverty so we could have abundance and prosperity. - "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." - II Corinthians 8:9 When He was beaten and whipped with a whip full of nails and sharp stuff that ripped His flesh apart, He took all our sickness, pain, disease, and every infirmity in our body. So we could have a life of perfect health, with no sickness, or infirmity of any kind. When the soldiers placed a crown of thick thorns on His head, Jesus took all our mental and emotional problems. He then gives to us emotional and mental wholeness, and healing. When Jesus was mocked, spit on, made fun of, stripped naked, and humiliated to the highest degree, He took all our humiliation and shame on Himself, so we could have glory, and respect. When Jesus hung on the cross, He took the sins of the whole entire world, meaning every sin ever committed, and every sin that will ever be committed was place on Him. So when He took it, God could no longer have a relationship with Jesus. Because God is holy, and holiness and sin cannot coexist. And So God the Father had to reject Jesus. Jesus was rejected by God, and that was the only time Jesus did not call God “ Abba Father”. Finally When He died, He took all our sins on Himself, and taking the punishment of death for us, giving us remission and forgiveness of sins, meaning we no longer have to receive the punishment of sin and we can receive acceptance from God, which is ultimately death (hell) and rejection from God. Last note: As Christians we ALL have a right to this. But you need to BELIEVE to RECEIVE. Our next message “Receiving the Blessing” will go deeper on why many Christians do not have these things, and how we can receive all the blessings of God. Ministry of the Holy Spirit.

The Attributes of the Holy Spirit The tabernacle: Hanukkah and the shew bread The light represents the Holy Spirit. There are 7 candles each representing an attribute of the Holy Spirit: Spirit of understanding (Ephesians 1:17) Spirit of knowledge (Isaiah 11:2) Spirit of wisdom (Ephesians 1:17) Spirit of revelation (Ephesians 1:17) Spirit of fear God ( Spirit of Power (Luke 1:37) Spirit of counsel (Isaiah 11:2) The shew bread is separated into two rows Represents logos and rhema -Logos is the general spoken word the applies to everyone. -Rhema is a special word for a certain person at a certain time The Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth. Read whole chapter of John 16 "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." - John16:13 -In the olden times the Holy Spirit came and left, and also only came on certain people. -But in New Testament, we are righteous, so the Holy Spirit can come and live in you forever "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever" But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26 NKJV) -He is our Comforter, Intercessor, Helper. -The Holy Spirit is like a stamp that says you belong to God. The Holy Spirit is a PERSON!!! -Some religions and doctrines say that He is a power or He doesn't really apply to us or whatever. -The Holy Spirit is NOT a power, an object, or a thing that you use. The Holy Spirit is not an "it". -He is a living person, someone who deserves our respect. He is God. -Not something God made not God's power, but God Himself. -The Holy Spirit has emotions and feelings -Jesus has a physical and the Holy Spirit doesn't, but He demonstrates the characters of God (Himself) through us. "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." - Ephesians 4:30 -You can not make a power or an item or an object happy or sad, or hurt, or grieved. -Only a person can have feelings. -Jesus was born by the Holy Spirit -Jesus left His power in heaven -So without the Holy Spirit Jesus would not have been able to do any miracles and wonders -Only after His baptism did the Holy Spirit come upon Jesus. -The Holy Spirit put Jesus through a time of testing. And with the Holy Spirit's help Jesus won. -God has called us to do great things for him, but we have to go through trials and triumph over our temptations. -But the Holy Spirit will be there to help us. -After the testing if we succeed the angels will serve and help us and -King Saul and King Solomon failed their jobs, because they didn't go through testing. -King David went through many trials and testing and he was faithful to God to the end. -The Holy Spirit lives in us forever. And so it means He sees us as holy. Because He can only stay with us of we are holy. 1 Corinthians 2:10 "But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God." The Tabernacle of Moses - Part 2/2
Hebrew 9:3-5 -Before Jesus died for us the Holy of Holies was restricted and only the High Priest could come in once a year with blood to put on the mercy seat. -but when Jesus died the curtain separating the Holy of Holies from the Holy place tore into two. -When Jesus died it gave us access to God and at anytime. We can freely come to God no matter when or where. -God no longer requires us to sacrifice animals, because Jesus already took it all away. Jesus didn't just cover our sins, He took them. - Everything is gold in the Holy of Holies. -In the ark of covenant we have: The jar of manna, the staff of Aaron, the Ten Commandments. It represents how - Manna: God gave us food but we complained - Rod of Aaron: God gave us leaders but we don't respect and follow them -Ten Commandments: God gave us law but we did not follow. -with the blood covered on the mercy seat God does not punish us. Cause it covers your sins. -1 Corinthians 3:16 you are the temple of God. |
